this is the man that i knew

these are the memories
that hold the man
that i knew

this is the son
i tell of the memories
that hold the man
that i knew

this is the love
i feel for my son
who holds on to the memories
of the father
that i knew.

this is beautiful .. to me it the image of memories holding the man evoke feelings of nuturing that seem to encompass the following verses. Really confirming to me that the use of some well placed simple words can portray so much .. and I suspect that it was done without indepth thought. It sounded like it came from the heart. M
